Frequently Asked Questions

Question:
Is the school a church sponsored school?

Answer:
No. We are an interdenominational school representing more than 30 different churches and ten different denominations in our valley. Our teachers and staff represent eight different church families. As an interdenominational school, we focus on the basic doctrines of the Christian faith which unify us, not separate us. Concerning differing doctrinal views on various topics, students are encouraged to talk to their parents and church leaders for clarification.

Question:
Do I need to be a Christian to enroll my child?

Answer:
No. However, one parent must personally acknowledge a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and you must agree to allow your child to be taught the tenets of our faith, including the presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s plan of redemption.

Question:
Is this a reform school?

Answer:
No. We do not accept students with exceptional behavioral or learning needs. We simply don’t have the resources necessary to adequately reach these valuable children of God.

Question:
Do you offer scholarships?

Answer:
No. Financial aid is awarded at the beginning of the school year to deserving families who have demonstrated a need. These monies come from our Foundation’s annual campaign.

Question:
What do registration and tuition pay for?

Answer:
Registration is non-refundable and pays for books, supplies, and administrative costs. Tuition pays for approximately 75% of our budget. That includes staff salaries, maintenance, fees and utilities. We annually raise approximately 25% of our budget with two fundraisers, one in the fall, and one in the spring.

Question:
Do you accept all students?

Answer:
Yes and no. Any student with normal learning ability will be admitted to our school in Preschool, Prekindergarten and Kindergarten, following a family interview to determine philosophical agreement with the school’s mission. Beginning in first grade, students must pass a basic reading and math entrance exam. Scores are compared to past students’ accomplishments. The only purpose of these exams is to ensure that a student can succeed in our system.

Question:
What do I have to do to enroll my child?

Answer:
We employ a three step enrollment process. First, obtain our informational brochure that describes our program and priorities. This brochure is available by calling our office, or downloadable from the website as a .pdf file. Second, return the pre-application found in the back of the brochure and schedule an interview and school tour by contacting the office. Students entering grades 1-8 must pass an entrance exam consisting of reading and math skills. Finally, complete the registration and release forms and return them to the school with your paid registration.
