My name is Chris Cooper. I received my bachelor's degree from Wheaton College with studies in Music and Communications. This is my first year at CCS as the general music and vocal music teacher. I grew up in Banner County in western Nebraska before going to Chicago to study and then traveling as a missionary, speaker, music minister and youth leader both in the US and abroad. While I continue to do some of these things on a more limited basis, I'm exciting to be a regular part of CCS this school year of 2008-2009!

Our music classroom verse is from Mark 12 which states, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength...and love your neighbor as yourself.”

My first goal for this year is that music would be a gift for each of my students, on opportunity to grow, to explore, and to make a place for music in our lives and in our worship. That through music, each one would come to know Christ better!
