Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Jill Fahrenbruck and I am so blessed to be a part of CCS this year! I just know this year will be such a wonderful year full of so much learning and fun. I am so thrilled to get to know and love each and every one of you. Here’s a little about me; I grew up on a small ranch outside of Crawford, Nebraska my entire life until I went to college at Chadron State where I recently graduated from with a degree in Elementary Education. While at Chadron State, I met my husband, Vaughn, and we will be married a year this October. Vaughn and I moved to Scottsbluff this summer after God blessed me with this wonderful opportunity to work here at Community Christian School. Though it’s my first year teaching, I have been welcomed with such supportive and loving arms from all my coworkers and staff. I just know God placed me right where I needed to be and can’t wait to see how He uses me in this community!
My desire for this Kindergarten class is to learn to love God on a very personal level and show God’s love to others by loving them. I want every student to reflect our class verse, Mark 12:30- Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. Throughout the year we will be learning to be more like Christ through weekly character traits and daily Bible lessons.
Also in Kindergarten, we will be doing Phonics, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Music, and P.E. We will even begin to learn to read! This year will take a lot of hard work, but it will be so much fun and rewarding. I am so excited to see what God has in store for the year and how He will use this class for His glory.


In Phonics will go through the process of learning to read! Reading will take time and patience, but if we work hard together, I know we will be successful!

In Science we will learn more about the world and solar system and some amazing things God has created. There is so much to explore together.

In Social Studies we will study our community. We have parents and other community helpers come in and share with us about their role in our community.

In Math, we will learn how to count, identify, and write numbers up to 100, as well as count by 2's, 5's, and 10's. We will also learn about money, telling time, adding, as well as subtracting. We do many fun activities and games to make math enjoyable and fun!

This is only a glimpse of what is in store for you in Kindergarten. There is so much more and I can't wait to share it with you!

I went to kindergarten a LONG time ago. However, just like you, this is my first year of kindergarten here at CCS. I will miss my good friend Miss Berganza, but am grateful for the godly footsteps she's left for me to follow.

After moving to Nebraska, I had the priviledge of attending Community Christian School from 4th to 8th grade. I graduated from Scottsbluff High School and went on to graduate college from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. While attending there, I played on the golf team where I eventually met my husband Brandon. I love teaching and am so grateful God has led me back here to CCS!
