Let me introduce myself and tell you about a little about me. My name is Kayla Leach. This is my third year teaching at Community Christian School. I grew up in rural Arnold, NE. I went to college and recieved my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. After graduation I applied to many schools but God led me to a small Christian school in Grant, NE. This was truly an eye opening position as I became the head teacher of 1-8 grades. I learned many lessons at this school and loved every minute of it. After teaching there for four years, I began to look for a new job. I applied at Community Christian school and recieved the job on the last day of school. God has truly blessed me with great students, friends, and co workers at Community Christian School.

Welcome to Fourth Grade! There are so many things to do and explore in fourth grade. The beginning of the year is a very exciting and busy time. We start off the second week with a field trip to the FARM museum to learn about tools through time. At the beginning of the third week we take a trip back in time to Flowerfield. We become pioneer children and learn in a one room school house for a day. Our daily work in the classroom always begins with Bible class. In Bible we learn tools to help study the Bible. We learn how to grow and develop a deep relationship with the Lord. We learn the eight parts of speech and write many creative papers in language. Reading takes us many places and teaches us about many people. We read stories about everyday struggles of students and laugh with some funny fables and folklores. In Heritage Studies we explore many different areas of history such as geography, economics, state history, and government. In the spring we begin to study Nebraska history. We learn many new things about our state as well as take several field trips. Fourth grade is a great year filled with many exciting adventures.
