Welcome to Community Christian School's class information page. I'm the principal, Mr. Chris Geary. On these pages, you'll meet each teacher and get a glimpse of what each class is doing here at CCS.
Let me take a few minutes to share a little bit about me. I grew up in rural Nebraska, Stapleton to be exact, and graduated from high school in 1987. I attended and graduated from Chadron State College after completing my basic and advanced training for the Army National Guard. My undergraduate degree is in math and computer science. After meeting my wife, Tiffany, at a college church group, we both completed our teaching degrees. I taught math for two years at Minatare (Nebraska) High school. After those great years in the classroom, God led me to become involved with her dad on the ranch. I helped Tiffany's dad, Lonnie, raise registered and commercial Red Angus cattle on their ranch north of Scottsbluff. During that time, God allowed me the opportunity to coach football at Community Christian School. After coaching football for four seasons, God made it clear to us that He wanted us in full time ministry here at CCS. I became the 8th grade homeroom and math teacher. I absolutely loved my job. While teaching here, God miraculously provided finances for my Master's degree in Educational Administration: Something I never dreamed I would attain. I completed the degree while teaching at CCS. Then God asked me to leave the school. I was shocked and disappointed, but I obeyed. I became the principal at a country school near Scottsbluff and learned much. In April of 2006 I received a call asking me to consider being the principal at CCS. I was ecstatic! God had given back the very thing He had asked me to surrender. I have loved every minute since.
My passion is to obediently lead this school to fulfill completely its God-directed purpose. We are seeing great improvements in the school, both in the physical plant and our corporate health. God is indeed doing great things.
