History

Our Great School!

Community Christian School is an interdenominational Christian school founded in 1988. The school's first year, 1988-1989, saw an enrollment of 26 students. The elementary and junior high school now serve approximately 200 preschool-8th grade students.

The school is governed by a non-profit corporation made up of parents, teachers, school board members, and donors. There is no debt and the school is housed in an old public school building owned by the corporation. The enrollment is from approximately 40 different churches and 17 different denominations in the Scottsbluff area.

The mission of the school is to encourage students of all socio-economic backgrounds to learn and apply God's truth while promoting academic excellence in a Christian environment. Community Christian School provides equal opportunities for all students, and does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, or national origin. It is non-discriminatory in its policies. Community Christian School is approved by the state of Nebraska. All teachers are certified by the state of Nebraska.
