Yearly Special Events and Activities

Speech Meet - Every fall all students in grades 1-5 participate in a local speech contest performing for their class and judges. Top contenders qualify for the regional meet in Denver, CO in which 2/3 of our students obtain a superior rating.

Math Olympics - A written test is given locally to all students in grades 3-8. Over half of our students qualify for Regionals in Loveland, CO. More than one-fourth of the regional participants place in the top six.

Christmas Musical - Grades 5-8 perform a musical with the eighth grade students performing the play and the the other grades singing in the chorus.

Spring Musical - Grades 1-4 perform a musical with the fourth grade students performing the play and the other grades singing in the chorus.

Enchilada Factory - Each February the gymnasium is converted into an enchilada making factory for our major fundraiser. Last year we sold 3600 dozen.

8th Grade Shaving Cream Fight - Each spring on the last day of school the 8th graders get to have a shaving cream/water balloon fight with their teachers.
